The GLC Spring Meeting and YIS was held last Thursday in Troy, MI. Despite some torrential downpours throughout the afternoon, the meeting was a really enjoyable time for the attendees - great research presentations from the local young investigators, an engaging talk on the proposed AAPM governance structure from Dr. Pawlicki, and a nice meal among colleagues.
We would like to congratulate all of the presenters (the overall quality of the talks was quite remarkable), and give special recognition to the award winners:
First Place (co-recipients):
Lianli Liu - "Accelerated Diffusion-weighted imaging in support of higher-order diffusion analysis"
Alexander Moncion - "Controlled release of encapsulated basic fibroblast growth factor for wound healing applications using acoustically-responsive scaffolds"
Runners-Up (co-recipients):
Eric Morris - "Performance of Synthetic CT for Partial Brain IGRT"
Shupeng Chen - Dose-painting by number using a Dose Prescription Function
Thanks to all attendees, and special thanks to the young investigators - great job!
