-- SEAAPM Constitutional Reform Proposal --

At our 2008 SEAAPM meeting, the chapter voted to re-write our constitution and by-laws. This revision has now been approved by the membership in recent on-line balloting. It now goes to the AAPM Board of Directors for final approval. Upon their approval, the SEAAPM's new Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws officially replace the old constitution.

SEAAPM Activities and Opportunities

Programming

Each year the SEAAPM hosts a scientific meeting where members present items of interest to their clinical colleagues. The president-elect is the director of this meeting and sometimes invites special speakers addressing timely topics. Medical physics graduate students are encouraged to participate. The meeting is informal and includes a Friday evening social event to encourage interaction between members, their families, and exhibitors. At the end of the scientific presentations, a business meeting is held. The location of the meeting rotates around the SEAAPM's six state area.

Most years the SEAAPM hosts a symposium on a topic of current interest featuring an expert faculty . The symposium generally runs just before and at the location of the scientific meeting.
