The Southeast Chapter of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine
The 2012 SEAAPM Symposium and Scientific Meeting will be April 18-21 at the Marriott Downtown in Atlanta, Georgia. The topic for the 2012 symposium is "Qualiity, Safety, and Compliance: How to address the triple challenge of modern imaging and therapy"
- Dr. Chester R. Ramsey has been elected as the new SEAAPM representative to the AAPM Board of Directors and will begin his term on January 1, 2012.

The SEAAPM 2011 Symposium and Scientific Meeting was held at the Marriott Resort and Spa in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The symposium was entitled "The Practice of Quality Assurance in an Era of Change" and was directed by Dr. Dan Bourland.
The scientific meeting theme was "Safety Challenges of Advanced Technologies" directed by Mike Munley.

The SEAAPM 2010 Symposium and Scientific Meeting were held in Augusta, Georgia in early March.
The symposium, entitled Advances in MRI: Applications in Diagnosis and Radiation Therapy was directed by Drs. Jerry Allison, Ahmad Al-Basheer, and Nathan Yanasak.
It was followed by the SEAAPM scientific meeting entitled The Evolving Face of Medical Physics.
