Nominations are currently being accepted for a member of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the AAPM to serve on the National Board of Directors of the AAPM Organization.
There are 21 regional chapters of the AAPM and currently each chapter elects a member to serve on the national board for a 3 year term. It is important to note that the chapter member is not a “representative” per se, but rather upon election serves as a full voting member of the Board, and is duty beyond to the national organization. Typically a board member will be required to attend the main Board meetings of the AAPM, which are Thursday (Noon-6PM) of the AAPM Annual meeting, and Wednesday (Noon-6PM) of the RSNA Meeting. Opportunities for participation in a wide range of sub-committees, special projects and related activities present themselves throughout the year.
The candidate will be expected to serve from Jan 2017 -Dec 2019. Please submit your nomination with a brief biosketch to Dr. Cynthia Chuang (Secretary/Treasurer of the SFC of AAPM Cynthia.Chuang@ucsf.edu by Sept 23, 2016.
The voting for the election will be managed by the National Headquarters (Farhana Khan) occur from about Sep 30-Oct 21, 2016. The winner will be announced by the national headquarters, and hopefully be available to meet members at the upcoming SFC AAPM Annual Meeting on Nov 4, 2016. 8/28/2016 2:05:35 PM
