We would like to announce the Penn-Ohio / Ohio River Valley 2009 Joint Fall Symposium.  The meeting will be held on October 2-3, 2009 at Hyatt Regency Columbus Hotel, Columbus, OH. This is a combined Chapter Meeting that will be hosted by the Ohio River Valley Chapter and the Penn-Ohio Chapter. The meeting poster can be downloaded from the pdf link below. The Theme of the Symposium is

Quality Assurance and other Challenges in State of the Art Radiation Therapy

Six invited speakers have already been confirmed for this meeting:

Over 10 other presentations from members of both chapters as well as vendors will be arranged for this meeting. CAMPEP credits (tentatively 9 credit hours) are available for physicists and MDCB credits are available for dosimetrists.

We would like to invite members of both chapters to register for this meeting. The online registration fee is $50 for physicists, $30 for dosimetrists, and $5 for trainees (students/postdoc/residents). The deadline of online registration is September 25, 2009. On-site registration will be available with an additional $10 charge.  Additionally, there are discounted rooms available at the Hyatt for attendees of the Symposium.  To assure there will be discounted rooms available, please make hotel registration arrangements before 9/2/09.  Using the “g-aapm” code in the “Group/Corporate #” box will get you a room for $115 (a 30% discount).  The code can be entered on the website when reserving your room.  Contact me if you have any troubles.
