We have two additional invited speakers, Dr. Chin Ng of University of Louisville and Dr. Lisa Lemen of University of Cincinnati. Drs. Student presenters will deliver the significance of their science in short MedPhys Slam research communications; in this competition participants deliver a three-minute presentation that should be clear and compelling. This "elevator pitch" style aims to improve communication and public engagement with medical physics. The participants will be judged by a committee on three equally weighted categories: comprehension/content, communication, and engagement. The winner of this competition will receive a monetary award to help with registration and travel expenses to attend the national meeting, where they will represent our chapter in a national MedPhys Slam event.

We ask that attendees register for these events in advance by going to our Chapter website and paying through the PayPal option so that we can produce a name badge for you as well as monitor attendance. It will be possible to register for the symposium on-site, but oral examinees must register ahead of time to ensure an adequate number of examiners. Symposium registration fees will increase after April 13th. The Saturday symposium will include a breakfast, snacks, and lunch. All attendees must pay a one-time registration fee, which covers both the Symposium and Meet & Greet drink tickets.
