The
University of Washington Department of Radiation Oncology is hosting the NW
AAPM Chapter Meeting and one-day symposium on "Hypofractionation
RT Strategies: Benefits and Pitfalls".
The symposium begins with a 45 minute
keynote lecture on "Biological Mechanisms Underpinning Fraction-Size
Effects in Photon and Hadron Therapy" by Dr.
Robert Stewart, UW Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology and Medical
Physicist followed by a series of
30-minute oral presentations on SRS-SRT-SBRT, hypoxia, hypofractionation
and delivery strategies in terms of fractionation schedules and implementation
techniques, and equipment such as linac VMAT, Gamma
Knife, Cyberknife, and Tomotherapy.

Radiation Oncology.
Registration
Information
Cost
of the meeting is $40 per person for early pre-paid (before August 19th)
registration and $45 per person from August 19th through September 7th. Click here to register online for this
meeting. An additional fee of $15 per
person is required for individuals requesting CAMPEP MPCEC, MDCB or ASRT
credits. Coffee breaks, lunch and social
event are included in the registration fee.
Cancellation
Policy: Registration fees will be refunded in full if written notice of
cancellation is received by Friday, August 19th, 2011. Please send your

Continuing
Education Credits
An
application for 6.25 MPCEC credits has been submitted to the Commission on
Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs, Inc. (CAMPEP).
Applications
for continuing education credit hours has been submitted to the Medical
Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) and the American Society of Radiologic
Technologists (ASRT).
Registration:
Registration fee is $40.00 per person. An additional fee of $15 per person is
required for individuals requesting CME credits (up to 6 credits). Individuals requesting CAMPEP credits will be
required to complete and submit program and speaker evaluations and document
