Young Investigator Competition and MedPhys Slam

2019 Spring Meeting

April 26, 2019

For the Spring 2019 meeting, we will hold both our usual Young Investigator Competition and another installment of the MedPhys Slam.  Both of these sessions will be open to student, junior, and resident members of the AAPM.

The Young Investigator Competition will feature ~10 minute presentations targeted to the audience of medical physicists.  Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three young investigator presentations.  Evaluation criteria for this competition are shown here.

The MedPhys Slam will feature 3 minute presentations on the "what, how, and why" of the individual's research presented to a panel of general-audience judges.  The first-place winner of this competition will be nominated to represent our chapter in the upcoming MedPhys Slam competition at the 2019 National Meeting in San Antonio, TX.  Please note that a cash prize will not be associated with this nomination.

Eligible individuals are encouraged to present in both sessions, as the aims of the two presentation styles are different.
