Location: Minneapolis, MNUniversity of Minnesota, McNamara Alumni Center

Registration 7:30 – 8:00

Early Registration Fee: $15.00 (Prior to April 13th)

Registration Fee: $20.00 (April 14th – 20th)

Students and Residents/Fellows do not have to pay a registration fee but please register so we can get an accurate attendance for the catering order.

 

If you desire CAMPEP credits there will be an additional fee of $8

Registration fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon snacks.

 

Application has been made to CAMPEP for medical physics continuing education credits (exact number still to be determined).

Meeting format consists of talks on PowerPoint slides. Discussion on the talks can occur either after the talk or prior to breaks/lunch depending on available time. Student/Resident presentation competition will occur in the afternoon session with monetary awards given to the top three talks.

 

Practicing medical physicists, medical physics students, and medical dosimetrists will benefit from the talks at this meeting. Practical aspects of the practice of medical physics are emphasized in the presentations.

 

Objectives

·                Learn about the major AAPM initiatives in coming year

·                Learn about the latest regulatory/emergency response issues

·                Learn about image gently initiatives as applied to nuclear medicine

·                Review the latest quality management initiatives

·                Review new techniques in radiation therapy treatment delivery and image guidance

 

The chapter meetings are wholly supported by the member/vendor annual dues and meeting registration fees.

An adjacent 500-car ramp is connected by tunnel to the Alumni Center. The ramp entrance is on University Avenue. Parking is $3.00 per hour with a daily maximum of $12.00. Evening events at the Alumni Center may qualify for event rates of $8.00-$10.00 total per car. Once inside the parking ramp, take ramp elevator to tunnel or street level. Follow signs to the alumni center, the copper building adjacent to the ramp.

 

From the north, heading south on 35W

1. Take Exit #18, 4th St-University Ave exit.

2. Cross 4th Street SE; turn left on University Ave.

3. Drive 9 blocks to the University Avenue Parking Ramp located on the right side of street.

 

From the south, heading north on 35W

1. Take Exit #18, 4th St-University Ave exit.

2. Turn right on University Ave.

3. Drive 9 blocks to the University Avenue Parking Ramp located on the right side of street.

A 2,000-car ramp is just down Oak St from the Alumni Center. A short walk along Washington Avenue and across our landscaped plaza will bring you to the Alumni Center. Parking is $3.00 per hour with a daily maximum of $12.00.

 

From the east or west on I94

1. Take Exit #235B, University of Minnesota/Huron Boulevard.

2. Follow Huron Boulevard one block and turn left onto Fulton Ave (stop light).

3. Drive 2 blocks to Ontario St. and turn right.

4. Drive 2 blocks to the ramp entrance on left
