To do in Charlottesville
The Omni Charlottesville is located on the city’s Downtown Mall, a collection of restaurants, shops, and theaters in historic buildings on a pedestrian-only area of Main Street. In addition, the greater Charlottesville area offers a wealth of attractions. Rich in history, it is home to the University of Virginia as well as Monticello, the celebrated mountain-top home of Thomas Jefferson, the homes of James Monroe and James Madison, several Civil War battlefields, and other historic sites. The region’s burgeoning wine industry and live entertainment venues draw thousands of visitors each year, and its close proximity to the Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive makes it a popular destination for hiking and other outdoor recreation opportunities.

This educational program is supported by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the AAPM.
