The 2014 Annual Meeting of the SF Bay Area Chapter of the AAPM to be held October 24, 2014 at the Embassy Suites Walnut Creek / Contra Cost Ballroom 1345 Treat Blvd, Walnut Creek, CA 94597.

Cocktail Reception with Vendors at 5PM
With Presentations from the fields of Radiological Sciences and Radiation Oncology, inlcuding President of the AAPM, John Boone, Updates on the ABR from Trustee, Tony Seibert, “The Future of Medical Technology” from executives of medical device manufacturers, and New and Emerging Technology in Diagnostic and Therapy Physics (CAMPEP application is in process)

Educational Objectives of the 2014 Annual Meeting of the SF Bay Area Chapter of the AAPM
The objective of the San Francisco Chapter of the AAPM Annual Meeting is to introduce to our members and other medical physicists in the San Francisco Region new concepts and practices in medical physics (including diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy technology), and update and reinforce knowledge on a wide range of practical aspects of medical physics.
The objectives of the 2014 Annual Meeting meeting are to:
1. Provide a classroom and both a didactic and interactive setting for members in medical physics to lreanr about new initatives in medical physics imaging, dosimetry, radiation therapy delivery, and associated medical physics technologies in development. 2. Update the chapter members and other attendees on the latest activites at the AAPM and ABR.

10AM- Registration, Mingle with Beverages – All presenters must submit slides to the podium for presentation
11AM-NOON: Lunch is served

CONTINUING EDUCATION
Symposium is applying for MPCEP credit-hours for medical physicists (CAMPEP) and MDCB credit hours for dosimetrists. Details of number of available credit hours on the SF Chapter website.

A block of rooms has been made available at the Embassy Suites at a reduced rate.
