Dear members and friends of AAPM New England Chapter,

The NEAAPM Peter Neurath Young Investigators Symposia, held at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute on May 8,2008 was very successful.  There were 9 strong presentations. The breakdown by institution was Brigham and WomanÕs Hospital (BWH): 5,  Mass General Hospital (MGH): 2, BU 1, NSCC 1 and by subject RadOnc 7, Radiology 2.  Thank you for attending and supporting our young investigators.   Thanks to Martin Frasier for providing gifts for all the participants.

Robert Cormack, PhD, (President-Elect) has been busy organizing our Annual all day meeting to be held on June 6, 2008 at the Sheraton Four Points Conference Center, 1125 Providence Turnpike,

Norwood MA.  Again, Robert has chosen an ideal location accessible to all members.  This annual all day meeting has been recognized by other local AAPM chapters as one of the best in the country.  As president, I urge you all to attend and support our local chapter.  Do not miss this opportunity to socialize and discuss the future of Medical Physics with your colleagues beforehand and during the coffee breaks.  Immediately following the presentations, a brief meeting/social hour will be held where you are invited to participate provided you do not ask any questions.  The board will be glad to answer questions if submitted in triplicate and in erasable ink.  This brief meeting will be sponsored by one of our vendors.  Lunch is provided with your modest registration fee.  Attendance is critical to the future support from our vendors who make the meetings a reality.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the annual Meeting.

There have been some inquiries regarding last years CAMPEP credits.  Sincere apologies to those that have not had your credits issued to your account.  It appears that the problem has been resolved and the credits should be posted prior to the annual meeting.

Regards,

Gene A. Cardarelli, PhD, MPH

President, NEAAPM
