Learning
objectives:
At the
conclusion of this educational activity, the participant should be able to
1) Define bolus conformal electron therapy
(BECT), and segmented field electron conformal therapy (SFECT).
2) Compare the advantages and disadvantages
of BECT and SFECT.
3) List and identify anatomical treatment
sites where BECT may be appropriately used.
4) Describe recommended patient-specific
quality assurance procedures for BECT.
Instructions:
1. Download
and print out the SAM Question form.
2. Listen
to the MP3 file of the talk while viewing the PDF file of the talk’s
slides.
3. Answer
the SAM questions at the appropriate times in the talk. Pause your MP3 player as needed to give
yourself time to complete the questions, because the speaker will give you the
answers and explain the answers after a brief pause. There are two questions about 1/3 of the way
through, two towards the end, and a final, fifth question (and answer)
contained in the final two slides of the presentation. (The last question is not covered by the
audio MP3 file of the speaker giving the talk).
4. Complete
the online quiz & hit
submit. This will send your completed SAM question sheet to the FLAAPM
CE Coordinator. You may ONLY use Internet
Explorer for this task.
5. Pay
online with PayPal.
Note: After
the FLAAPM CE Coordinator receives your completed question sheet and payment
for the SAM ($50), your question sheet will be graded, and the answer key sent
to you via email along with your SAM certificate.
